It is very important to us that you understand the financial aspects of your dental treatment. Our Business Office staff will be happy to answer any of your questions. Please feel free to contact us for assistance.
Patients with dental insurance are expected to take the time to fully understand the details of their policy before coming in for treatment. Every plan is unique and your insurance coverage is between you, your employer and your insurance company. We are not part of the contract and cannot influence the way it works.
Please note that very few insurance companies cover 100% of all dental costs. We participate with many insurance plans and that means that we accept payment directly from the insurance company. Participate does not mean that we automatically accept their reimbursement portion as full payment. Depending on your individual coverage, you may have a patient obligation. It is your responsibility to pay any balance not covered by your insurance plan at the time of treatment. To help our patients, we provide the service of waiting for the insurance company to reimburse us directly for the insurance company’s portion of the bill.
Patients without dental insurance are expected to pay the full balance for services at the time of their treatment. When extensive work is done, payment arrangements can be made as part of a treatment plan agreement. This service must be prearranged and we require a credit card number to insure against payment delinquency. We also require half of the total balance be paid at the time of service and the remainder of the bill must be paid within six months. There is no finance charge for the first 60 days. After 60 days, there is a 1.5% finance charge applied monthly until the balance is paid.
For your convenience, we accept checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards as forms of payment. There is a $30.00 service charge for all returned checks.
